Roses in my garden

by Dominik Brendan

/

lyrics

Roses in my garden
The bush so vast and unmaintained
Giving very few flowers
I bring scissors to show that I care
I cut off the yellow leaves
Dead flower stems and wooden branches

Roses in my garden
It’s limbs were falling in windy dances
When I cooled down off this maniac state
A bunch of rosebuds I saw on the plate
Stripped off light by the leaves that died
When they opened the smell was divine

Don’t be afraid to remove what’s dead
It’s time to make space for the new flowers
Only those who can garden in afraid
Will see the life’s true magical powers
And it will smell divine Clean and fresh
It will smell divine Roses in my garden
Breeding more rosebuds than green leaves
A smelling wall of red flowers
Sweet as sugar or lover’s kiss
When it cools down off the maniac state
With yellow leaves and less blossoms on the plate
I’ll bring scissors cutting parts that died
I’ll wait for new ones with the smell so divine
